EDI To Market UK Dividends On The Internet

Exchange Data International announced they will market UK Dividends on the Internet.

London, 29th July, 1999, Exchange Data International (EDI), a specialist in back office securities solutions, is to launch its latest web-based product innovation: UK Dividends.

The UK Dividend feed, developed by EDI's in-house team, allows securities administrators to have easy access to dividend information, pay, record and ex-dates. The user can view New Dividends online for a particular day including fields such as Sedol™; Dividend number; Security; Ex, Record and Pay dates. In addition to this, the user can also browse through a Calendar to view dividend events on selected dates. The feed, sourced directly from the London Stock Exchange, is updated on a daily basis and allows the user to prioritise vital investment decisions quickly and efficiently via the Internet.

Various delivery methods are available to the user. Data can be transferred via FTP or the Internet. Updated files are available in (comma delimited) ASCII text, or Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet formats. All files are zipped using the PKZIP system, in order to minimise download time.
An example of some of the fields available includes:
  • Sedol™ Code – UK domestic number used to identify securities
  • Distribution ID – Reference for the number of payouts made
  • ISIN Code – International Securities Identification Number
  • Issuer Name – The company name
  • UK Tax Rate – UK tax rate applicable to dividends as a percentage
  • Feed Date – Date of last change

The data is timely, accurate and easy accessible via the web. The system helps to create a smoother working environment, eliminating work interruptions by supplying vital information at your fingertips. EDI strives to provide a comprehensive service at a very competitive price and offers tailored made products to suit its clients’ requirements.
