EDI wins Best Corporate Initiative of the Year

24 May 2018, London & New York: Exchange Data International (EDI), the expert in securities reference data services, today announced winning the ‘Best Corporate Initiative of the Year’ category at the 16th annual Inside Reference Data and Inside Market Data Awards.
The award is in recognition of the new EDI NYSE Replacement Service. Launched in September 2017 by EDI, it is a complete replacement for NYSE Corporate Actions at less than 50% of the redistribution costs charged by NYSE. EDI now provides institutions with a complete like-for-like and cost-effective alternative for the NYSE corporate actions data.

As well as continuing to introduce competition into the corporate actions sector, EDI’s service removes an irritating and potentially costly element in NYSE’s offering, by dropping the second level of charges imposed by NYSE on clients who want to redistribute NYSE data (to their customers). EDI’s clients, whether redistributors or end users, pay only once.

Jonathan Bloch, founder and CEO of EDI said: “We are very honoured to receive such a highly-regarded award; I’m delighted that EDI has been recognised for bringing much-needed competition to the data sector. We will continue to provide our clients and the wider market with choice, quality and value as we seeking to increase ‘vendor replacement’ offerings.”

Exchange Data International has been providing fast, accurate, timely and affordable reference data, including corporate actions services, to the global investment community since 1994.
